I thought this was one of the most creative and funniest ideas to scare a friend. As you can see in the video, VJ is sleeping on the couch. Its early in the morning and everyone else is awake in the room behind the closed door. I wasn't at t his scare so I guess he was a heavy sleeper because they had the chance to setup the camera. And I'm almost 100% sure that when they were setting up, they were giggling like crazy. So the plan was to run out screaming and pretending there was a fire or some sort of emergency. As everyone comes out running, VJ wakes up violently and wildly flings his arms and legs in the air as he tries to get up. He just starts running with them. It was soo funny! This is really the most creative way to scare a friend without using props or costumes. I guess VJ thought there was an emergency too, he just screams and runs with the crowd.

This video was pretty funny too because of VJ's response. He wasn't even the one at the computer, he was just watching it. Everyone knew it was one of those "The grudge girl pop-up" things except him. I think he even had a feeling, but he still got really scared and jumped. The more dramatic is response, the funnier it is. I think they were doing one of those mazes and when the grudge girl popped up, even though he thought something was up, he was too concentrated on the maze to be prepared for it.

VJ Getting Scared Pt. 1

This is the first video of one of my friends getting scared. I don't know why, but we decided to pick on him. I guess its because he gets scared really easy so its easy to pull pranks on him. It might sound mean but its all in good fun and he doesn't mind. It all started when we were bored and wanted something fun to do. One of our friends says we should pull a prank on someone and of course the ideal candidate was our friend VJ.
We had to first come up with a plot to scare him. We didn't want it to be just one of those hide behind a wall scares. It had to be something good. So one of us sees the bag of a massage table in the corner. One of my friends in a masseuse and he brings his table and gives us all massages. I know, lucky. Anyways, this bag is huge, big enough for a person to hide in. So we decide someone should hide in the bag and scare him. At this point, VJ is in the room doing homework. We get all setup, someone hiding in the bag, the camera setup in an inconspicuous place, and a laptop near the big bag. We all go into the room and start doing our homework too. One of asks VJ to get the laptop near the bag and bring it. The unsuspecting VJ doesn't think anything of this. Since he is the closest to the door, he gets up and goes into the living room. He can't find the laptop. He asks us where it is and of course it is hard for us to answer since we want to burst out laughing. We tell him its in the corner and VJ goes over and BAM! Our friend grabs him from out of the bag. It was hilarious. Of course VJ didn't get mad. It was all in fun and we all come out and have a good laugh, even VJ.

Response
I looked around and all I can find are video blogs or blogs about being scared. I think its because its hard to comment on short videos. I myself am finding it hard to write enough to meet the word count minimum. So I'm not sure what I should respond to. Although there are a lot of videos of people getting scared, with Youtube and other video uploading websites, people don't really comment on the videos. All they say is stuff like "hahaha" or "that was funny" but other than that, there's not much response. I admit it is hard to comment on videos. It is easy to comment if you are not just browsing through videos and are actually analyzing the response and the video techniques used in the video. I didn't think it would be this hard to write about it when I started, but as the blog progressed, it became harder and harder to write more. Even though it was hard to come up with enough to meet the minimum, I'm still glad I did this topic because I like watching the videos. Even if the commentary and my actual blog is not as interesting as if I had written about a different topic, I think people enjoy the videos and that's all I wanted. I could have written about anything else, like my favorite movies, or upcoming automotive advances, but I decided to go with something more enjoyable than informative. Not saying that informative blogs are not enjoyable. Well I guess since I have no other blog to compare mine to, that's it for today!

Scare Gone Wrong?

After seeing a passive way to act when you’re scared, here’s a video that shows a guy acting a little more aggressively. The students were trying to pull a Halloween prank on one of their peers by jumping out of a recycling bin. Instead of jumping back or yelling, the guy punches the person trying to scare him in the face. I know its mean but I thought it was hilarious. How would you have acted if you got scared like that? I think it’s pretty helpful to be able to react like that when someone jumps at you. And this video is really useful to the family and friends of the guy who they were trying to scare. Now they know not to try to scare him.
There was this one time I tried to creep up on my sister and scare her. As I’m crawling on the floor behind her, the floor creaks. She turns around, and not having her glasses on, she couldn’t tell who I was and all she saw was long hair (I had really long hair back then) and she screams and drops to the floor. Of course I thought this was hilarious but she was literally scared stiff. I think I would rather react like the guy in the video than my sister.
Well that’s it for today. If you guys have any suggestions of videos to put up don’t be afraid to comment or let me know. It’s a really nice day so I’m going to the beach now!

Human Rat

I’m going to start out this blog with some of the older videos I’ve seen. This video is from the show Scare Tactics. I’ve seen it a while ago, but not in a while.
In this video, a human rights activist is supposed to help someone take inventory in some lab. He thinks he’s just helping out, but soon he sees the animal testing that goes on in the lab. At first he just feels bad, but soon sees the baby fetus and animals experimented on. Supposedly, in the lab, they mixed human DNA and animal DNA. The guy’s reaction is priceless. I thought it was hilarious when he was asking if the “human rat” needed help.
He was a really nice contestant. He even said that they needed to get the thing out of there. The actor was really good too. I don’t know how he kept a straight face while this whole thing was going on. I would have been laughing on the floor. I wouldn’t even be able to pretend that I was scared. It would be so much fun to set up an elaborate prank like that but I don’t have the resources. Everything was set up really well. The room, the actor, and the makeup were all really realistic.
I like to scare my friends, but I wouldn’t be able to pull off something like that. All I could do is like hide and scared them. It might be mean, but it’s all in fun so my friends don’t get mad when I do scare them. I don’t know where they came up with that idea. I wonder what was going through the guy’s mind when he saw that thing move. I know I’d be freaking out too. It would have been funnier if he tried to attack the “human rat,” but I guess that would have been more dangerous too. intro
Hey, my name is Felicia.
I'm going to be posting up videos in which people get scared in. Some videos will just be videos I found on Youtube, but a couple will be from experience. Some of them are professionally videotaped while others are homemade. So there will be a wide variety in quality and style of scaring.

I thought of this idea because I thought of what I like to do online. Most things that are entertaining are funny, so I thought of what made me laugh the most. I thought of the videos we made scaring my one friend. But I didn’t have enough videos for 6 blogs, so I thought I could just post of videos that involved people getting scared that were funny.
The blog is called Scare Tactics because it is a show dedicated to scaring unsuspecting guests. It’s a really funny show, and is the basic concept of this blog. Hopefully everyone likes it and I get a good grade.
